The Cultural Development Trust (Cuhede) was established in 2001 mainly to help both emerging and established artists be it as individuals artist or as a group with finding information and assistance and training in all aspects of Management, Financial and other administrative processes in the Arts & Cultural Sector.

Training and Education
A learnership is a learning programme that combines practical (structured work experience) and theoretical learning and assessment (structured institutional learning). The Cultural Development Trust is running an Arts and Culture Administration learnership (NQF Level 4) which is funded by the MAPPP-SETA ETQA.

Projects and International Exchange

Over the past seven years The Cultural Development Trust (CDT) provides a service to individual musicians or small bands and dance organizations/dancers which includes:

  • Coordination of rehearsals
  • Performances and tours
  • Facilitation of cultural exchange programmes and cross cultural multidisciplinary programmes
  • Advice and assistance on aspiring musicians with record companies, recording studios etc.
Several partnerships have been formed which have impacted on the work of CDT both nationally and internationally.
