Leanerships

A learnership is a learning programme that combines practical (structured work experience) and theoretical learning and assessment (structured institutional learning). The Cultural Development Trust is running an Arts and Culture Administration learnership (NQF Level 4) which is funded by the MAPPP-SETA ETQA. The purpose of this learnership is that learners acquire a unique combination of project administration competencies, human resource management skills and business enterprise skills, in order that they may successfully administer arts and culture projects. This qualification formalizes sets of competencies and combinations of systems to help to accumulate expertise in this new area of training.

Learnerships are promoted by both the Department of Labour (DoL) and the Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETA?s) as a means of developing key skills and competencies in all fields of learning. Learnerships provide individuals with a means to acquire a nationally recognised qualification that includes both theoretical knowledge and practical workplace experience for both employed and unemployed individuals.

This learnership is open to individuals within arts and culture sector. For more information on this learnership, please contact the Training Manager: nzali@cuhede.org.za
